CYY is working directly with communities impacted due to the ongoing war in Israel and as a result of horrific terror attacks on October 7, 2023.  

There are many different needs, but we have continued to focus our efforts in assisting the following groups:

1.  Families that have loved ones on the front lines;

2.  Families that have been displaced;

3.  Security personnel in communities hit hardest;

4.  Families that have lost loved ones; 

5.  IDF soldiers that have been injured;

6.   IDF soldiers on the front lines with crucial life saving items.

Our assistance has included but is not limited to helping families in Israel with: the cost of temporary housing, appliances, food, counseling and gifts for children, special events for children displaced, events for the wives and families of soldiers on the front lines and other needs.  

CYY has provided food gift cards and other items to families that have lost loved ones to bridge the gap until the government assistance arrives.  

CYY has facilitated, at the request of specific donors, a weekly "mental break brunch" to the wives of active soldiers who are managing a home on their own since October 7.  

CYY has provided crucial items such as tactical gloves, hand warmers, thermals, sleeping bags and other crucial gear to IDF soldiers.  We have even provided tefilin to soldiers requesting them - some putting on tefilin for the first time in 25 years.
